A number of companies Lendlease, Bluescope, GM, Amazon, etc profited from $7 billion to $250 billion and paid zero tax in 2018.... ZERO. Just let that sink in.
Work: Tax
Tax, I mean, what the hell,
Tax, I simply don’t understand,
About how it’s just taken away from me,
It feels as though I’ve been scammed,
Out of the money I bled to bring in,
Out of a freedom to buy,
The things I think I’d like in this world,
Taken by the first of July,
Yes, I get it, government supplies certain things,
I know, I use them a lot,
But why are huge corporate giants let off,
To pay whatever they want,
Why are us workers taxed to the max,
While corporations look at their shares,
Like Lendlease or BlueScope paying zero in tax,
To me it’s not really fair.
