Words without meaning are the ones unsaid Dangling conversations wrapped in silence Uncomfortable quiet sets in at sea Unknown causes stay between the spaces where you are Between the lines of reason far from the shore No cause for alarm as you pause to speak The ship was meant to sink in ugly weather Hang on to every word of confidence Let go when you arrange your thoughts Below the waves Significance is an afterthought That's important There are no calculators made for feeling They can not sense mortality or love Or discern that which can be surmised There was kindness in her eyes Once upon a time when she went down Before the ship rises in waves of memory Takes her with the storm, once again no more Don't be concerned Sinking to new depths Remember to consign oblivion to the past Unforgiving words, there to forget Words without meaning remain unsaid
