Words of the Writer

Wondering how can I become so infatuated With someone's words leaving me intoxicated Happy their words, and my path had finally crossed Words read with poetic passion that I could get lost Allowing those words to caress me like a sin As I let them seduce me while they pull me in Then I'm inside each of those song like verses With all the words very reality, being so diverse They hold so much meaning being so heartfelt See they open in me rapture I've never before felt I feel in those words the love he longing tries to convey While leaving me speechless,I mean what can i say And when I'm released from their strong pull I wonder did the words hold me mind, body, and soul I wonder this as I grasp the book of words tighter Was it the words themself or was it the "Writer"

Nicely done, interesting question Brenda, it's curious because a poet can write anything but is it a reflection of who he is? Definitely perplexing but I would lean to them being one and the same!

I think it's a mixture really John! We all write from what we feel or know so it's a combination of both! Thank you!;)

What came first the chicken or the egg, the words and the writer are so interlocked, they cannot be separated I would say - talented creations by a talented poet. Beautiful write. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

It's not the song; It's the singer. It's not the panting; it's the painter… Seems to me they're inextricably intertwined---but without the product, the producer's toast... Thanks, Brenda. Great food for thought here! :) gw
