Wondrous Wings

Dewdrops cling onto blades of grass;
like sparkling drops of liquid glass.
And in the morn when songbirds sing;
onto blades of grass, dewdrops cling.
With wondrous wings, butterflies fly;
like paintings afloat in the sky.
One of nature's prettiest things;
butterflies fly with wondrous wings.
Crickets stridulate for females;
till their constant chirping prevails.
Relying totally on fate
for a mate, crickets stridulate.
Gardenia bloom in summer's heat;
an absolute sensual treat.
Clad in their green and white costume;
in summer's heat, gardenia bloom.
Shadows merge, diminishing day;
as a sinking sun slips away.
And rising like a tidal surge;
diminishing day, shadows merge.
