Wondrous

An elevator ride deep down,
Farther than I have ever gone before.
Fear running through my veins.
I’m just waiting
For the thin wire cable to snap.
Once it lands
On solid ground, I can breathe again,
If only for now.

Now deep down below the ground,
My young childish heart jumps
When I see all the natural beauty
That surrounds me.

This wondrous waterfall spraying
Cool refreshing mist upon my face
As I turns up looking through the space
That separated me from the world up above.
Nothing can be more breath taking.
