Notes About The Poem

Wolf In Disguise

They slowly float
All forms and size
A sheep, a boat
Wolf in disguise
              They slowly float
              Mystic and wise
              Horse without throat
              I swat at flies
     I use a note
     Containing lies
     And take an oath
     To cut the ties
                     To slowly float
                     To shrink in size
                     Hide in my coat
                     Stifle all cries
             They slowly float,
             A sheep, a boat
             My tattered coat
             Vulnerable throat
                              Wolf in disguise
                              Mystic and wise
                              I cut all ties
                              Today I'll rise

Oh Darren, so young and yet so wise, fragile and strong your rise! Your magical poetry floats to us, free of time and space. I'm placing this poem in my favorites:) 7 Where did you find that incredible picture that accompanies your poem and what is it called? Amitiés

Thank you so much, also for the Fav and the 7 :) The picture I found while searching for Pareidolia (What-Is-Pareidolia-or-Why-Do-We-See-Animals-and-Faces-in-the-Clouds) and it's one of the images that comes up. I immediately liked it.

Wow Darren. Hello. I bow to your talent. This is beyond. And no, I'm not talking the attached image. I am simply and solely speaking of your expressive and motivational words. The ending line is immeasurable. This entry is so well executed in every area and aspect. An entry in my opinion to be read out loud slowly yet with emphasis. You rock Darren.

Lisa, I am humbled by this wonderful comment! Like you I love repetition, it's why I love pantoums, villanelles and terzanelles. It enhances emotions in a poem in such an incredible way. Thank you Lisa, you rock too :)
