Without an Ivory Moon

Poetry Wheel Challenge:

Theme: Night
Emotion: Calm
Color: Ivory
Season: Spring
Form: Limerick
Object: Wallpaper
Verb: Hiss

Created using the PoetrySoup Poetry Wheel.

Last Spring, something hissed inside my bedroom
With no ivory moon, I felt the gloom
I tried to stay real calm
Even read Book of Psalms
But eyes on the wallpaper meant my doom

Thank you ever so kindly my sweet Scotti, Dotti. You make one heck of a cheerleader. It won’t be happy a Sunday though. My daughter and her family will be heading back to Florida today. Their weekend visit was too short.
