Within Your Reach
A loving heart you have always had,
it shows in many ways,
and I will hold you dearly,
until my final days.
A brother by blood you, and I,
to walk side by side,
you helped me through some trying times,
with words you tried to guide.
Sometimes I listened to what you said,
and followed your advice,
then sometimes I didn't,
you just wanted me to do right.
You are so independent,
never needing to much help,
I guess in your silence,
tears you must have wept.
I was always the loud one,
and I needed people around,
you are so private,
your thoughts so safe, and sound.
I just wanted to tell you,
how special you are to me,
and if you ever need me,
I'll be right here always within your reach.
