Within My Arms

Somewhere to lay my head down at night in peace
A place where I don't have anger to release
Somewhere I don't have to worry about
Never having a mother or father
A place to shrug my shoulders
And tell others not to worry
A person to hold tight
A person to smile at me and shed some light
A leader and friend with love to send
Somewhere to watch the sunset
A place where I can be happy with no regret
Someone to talk to, share feelings
And hope for new ways of healing
Somewhere further than my dreams
A place where it's not hard as it seems
A person who understands,
Someone who's thankful when I do all I can
Somewhere to rest
A place where I'm more like family rather than a guest
A person to wipe my tears
Someone to tell me I have nothing to fear
A person to care
I guess I just want a person to be there
