I had a dream that I was an eagle- flying high over vast mountains and valleys in the morn' sky 'with tilted feathers' to catch cool currents. It was just after dawn and I was hunting as my three babies were hungry. They are waiting for me, so, I must hurry. My mate left one day and did not return, so, the babies had no protection. I am scared! Still the feel of the wind is delightful, I love to glide and float, it is divine and sublime. I remember my first time leaping out of my nest. Oh, it was really scary, but my mom and dad were there to encourage me and I had been flapping my wings for days. At first I did a free fall and then, my wings took over. I will do the same for my babies soon- if they survive. Must hurry home! There on the ground a hopping rabbit, I swoop down and just like that I fly away with breakfast. Life is hard- even for a majestic bird like me! the wind is a roar as three baby beaks open ... seeking survival
