If I offered you the moon
Or the sparkling within a star
If I gave you a thought
Filled with inspiration and hope
If I presented you with a flower
Lightly caressed by the dew
If I opened up the heavens
And sent rain to pour on you
If I bid your heart lovingly
With poetry and pen
If I handed you a second chance
To live this life again
There would never be a gift or treasure
Worthy of what you’ve been
You’re worth more than the moon and stars
You’re worth more than inspirational wind
You’re worth more than the second chance
To live this life again, my friend
I’m so thankful for you and all you’ve been
Forever faithful, like a sense of serenity
Forever warm, like a summer sun
Forever my own, like a hand to hold
