With Heart, Built-In

~~~ Like a new house, in my poetry, you will find a heart built-in. I am no sharp wit nor in a hurry to quickly pen, for a poetic win. If as a poet, it's form comes first, Then, you won' t find me filling your thirst! OR if it's truth in one sentence be your compulsion? My poetry for you, is your revulsion. If heavy imagery be your fancy, You won't find it in my verse, far too chancy. I come from a time when songs were so beautiful. Rhyme, to me is fun, and just naturally plentiful. I'd talk all day in rhyme, indeed if only we all could! Instead of like breaking news alerts, so heartless and made of wood. Our frenzy is to the great new god, multi-tasking, has wreaked havoc on new generations. Where Cliff notes has replaced reading famous literature~ an abomination. I have tried selling myself out to short form poetry. I must say, that so far, only the English Haiku has worked for me. January 5, 2020 Noon PST
To everything there is a season... and a reason… a rhyme... and a time. ---And a fresh breeze whispering "Panagiota Romios!" Go, girl! :) Gershon
Hello, my friend, Darlene! I am lucky to get one reply. If you type fast you can have an on going conversation, box after box. But then,other poets get no replies. I just like reples when I feel people are not brushing me off with one or two words. I never look back at comments.. If I did. I would have few poems and fewer poets would hear from me. Does that make sense? be happy..Darlene. Panagiota xx
Hello Panagiota … I guess we all have our preference of genre, but it harms no one to read and shoe respect. Many of us here find our verse read and less to comment, so it's bloody hard work indeed to carry on - thanks again Panagiota - Lindsay
Hello, it gets rather gamey here at PS. I surmise it's the rush to publish the most Poetry to have rank on the Best List, to one- up other poets who write with depth and profundity. Look at comments to any poem. Like " cute". When I see one and two word replies, I take it as a clue, to land a place as Best on Top Commentors. Comments then are like footies))! How about a soulful comment! Such as yours? And Exactly, it's bloody hard to go on. I had one poem with over 800 reads and 2 comments?? It's far from a weak or paltry poem. Arg! 2 comments Panagiota
Dearest Richard, I personally want to hug you for your comments these past few days, when comnents have been few. I want to stop posting altogether. I really do not think I have what it takes to be here.(((((. I have a dramatic verse to post but fear it won't be read as it is not a haiku, Senryu nor a tanka nor a Monoku...Eeeks! Thanks again, Panagiota xx
