2 Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. When Moses’ mother decided to put him in the basket, Leave him in the water – which could have been a casket – There was a bigger moment, a moment from the Lord, Written by time’s steady pen, a story from the One adored, It took more than just a feeling to leave that child in the water – It took faith that only God Himself could have given His daughter! When Elijah called down the fire from heaven above, Revealing to the Baal worshippers – the God of love – There was something more than just a miracle born. In the fire, came a heart’s stirring so amazing, yet timeworn. It was more than a warning, but hope was surely burning. It took faith in the One who the soul is always learning. When Joseph was promoted to such a high position, Reminding the heart that He was surely on a mission – There were prayers being answered, hopes revived, Stars in the heavens surely knew His dreams survived. It was more than fate that caused this amazing event. It was faith in the God whose light is heaven sent. When Jesus came to save our souls and destroy sin, Promising the lonely heart that His love is all in – There was more than the miracle of the virgin birth, To show the world the dear Savior’s worth. It was more than a miracle that the world would see – It was faith in the Spirit who came down to free. When I offer you my poetry – to celebrate His light Coloring my praise with grace that glows in the night… There is a prayer that will never fade, a hope that stays, Singing love through the words I write, the sincere praise. It is more than my heart and soul – more than words can say, It is faith that what I give is worship that won’t simply die away. From my heart, I offer my hope – with faith that He will bring His light, His grace, His everlasting so my soul will always sing. With worship for the One I love – this Jesus who can save, I lift my hands, my heart, my hope, to the One so brave… He came to give us each a chance to know the meaning of love, So that, through faith, we’d know the way to touch God above!
