With a Smile and Some Grace

I got a challenge and couldn't resist

Pulled her close and gently kissed

Even though she pushed us a part

That's not what I felt from her grip or her heart

The ending slap that hit my face

Was done with a smile and some grace

Still I turned and walked away

Not a single word did I say

Simply gave her a smile and wink

Just enough to make her think

It wasn't long that she made me wait

I quickly declined her offer for a date

Now the smile was no longer there

It was more a deadly evil stare

So once again I could not resist

I pulled her close and we gently kissed

Now her interest I truly know

After that kiss she didn't let go

This morning on my pillow lays her head

With the smile on her face nothing else need be said!
