Witch Did Not Want Another Cat Familiar
I want a child the other kitties said
They chose Susie, Sally, Poindexter and Ned
Not I said Black; I want a seasoned witch
She kept her eye out, and soon found Twitch
Twitch had an eye that was always on the move
She had coarse manners, she was not smooth
I never want a cat for a familiar again, she said
Watching a calico kitten leave with Ned
But Black wanted the witch, and appealed in such a way….
That made the witch come back at the end of the day
I never thought I’d want another cat again, she said.
But wrap up that black one. I’m naming him Ed.
