Wistful Romance
An enchanting woman joined the wedding dance
With a majestic man, celebrating gallant romance.
Heavenly white gown adorned her noble stance,
Aura of elegant rhythm wore a purposeful glance.
Dancing through the night reaching a joyous high
Having kissed bride and groom a silent good bye
They disappeared into the night without a sigh
After blessing couple's soul in a loving disguise.
Hanging around the farm, they visit as they please,
No one can see them, they can enter without keys.
Their daughter married today a handsome prince,
Impressed by him ever since the very first glimpse.
Every evening silhouettes roam on the farm's edges
To visit with their daughter behind the tall hedges.
Each evening they plan an elaborate dinner menu,
The theme is always about missed wedding venue.
The gown she wore was designed for her wedding,
Memories of their wistful romance quite dreading.
Sweet child born of love, they were never married,
Forbidden because of the love affair they carried.
One day they decided to find love beyond earth
Unable to find a footing searching for self worth.
They live on the pond where they were last seen
Rising for every occasion like it's a wedding scene.
