Wishing Hoping Praying
Running towards what I
have been trying to avoid.
Teling myself the truth
turned out to be all lies.
Wishing Hoping Praying
that everthing would work out.
You said those things last night.
You kept repeating every word,
although I already knew.
I know that I have hurt you,
that I'm not what you want.
Wishing Hoping Praying
that I can run
and lose the old me.
Then would you hold your arms
open when I came home?
If not, then I can run even more.
I will do anything to earn
your love back.
Wishing Hoping Praying
to be the one you want.
