Wishes and Eyes
When you wish upon a star
with hopes that take you far and far
Dreams awake and reach for stars
And angels wonder who you are
Magic gives it‘s memory
For ways of possibility
We cast a spell for spirits to answer
Giving to fate a certain measure
We pray for love from whom we choose
Obey our eyes that make the rules
We act with anticipation
go unnoticed finding frustration
Day dream with our staring eyes
And wonder how to win this prize
Realize that it was upon a star you relied
And stars don’t often compromise
When you should have asked a question
And waited for a reply
Wake up from dreaming
And risk your life
All this needing isn't wise
Nothing will happen
If you only use wishes and eyes
