Wish You Were Here

Saw a great movie
Palled around with friends
Everyone keeps asking
How have you been

Redbuds in the park
Glory in their purple majesty
And I can't help but remember
When you shared it with me

Wish you were here dear
Wish you were here
It seems to long
For you to be gone
Wish you were here

The sunrise on the beach
Remember how we shared the view
Side by side a sleepy embrace
It's not the same without you

Two straws for a shared milkshake
Eating pizza at our favorite place
But being there without you dear
It seems to have lost it's taste

Wish you were here dear
Wish you were here
I can't wait for your return
Until then for you I yearn
Wish you were here
