Wish

There is a popular Disney song that the notes are slow and long. “When you wish upon a star” it lies, “Your dreams come true.” it cries. Throwing the pennies in a fountain wishing for a money mountain. Maybe the wish is for someone to love, and maybe the wish is for mercy above. The wish might be for a family vacation or more money from the work station. The wish is something that is to come; it is something that is yet to be done. Wishing is not wrong nor is it bad simply a ply for something not had. Written 04/23/2023 'W' Words Poetry Contest Sponsored by Constance La France

Thank you. I did hear a little bit about the coronation. Americans don't tend to follow politics from England or Europe at all, but things like a coronation you absolutely at least hear about.

I've made my 2nd edit to this since you've commented, very small details be them both. I would not say I've given up on wishes, but I rather pick and choose what I wish for.
