Wisdom Jewel

Hanging onto the chain of sunlight
Streaming in her room

She rocks back and forth
In the antique rocking chair

She will become tomorrow's antique
Dangling with a wisdom
That can no longer be shared.

Hi Daver - Thanks for stopping by! I am fighting the aging process the whole way. My goal (possible or not) is living to be 100 and having my mental and physical faculties (most of them anyway) in tact. Stay healthy and happy!

Hello Jan - Thanks for stopping by. Sorry to hear about your mum. My grandmother lived until in her 90's, but had alzheimers so she didn't know anyone at the end. I'm hoping that it skips my generation. Maybe writing poetry will ward it off! - Gail
