WINTER’S WEEPING Winter’s weeping branches breaking barricading my path sinewy arms of the creek grab my ankles swelling too sweet the taste of flickering flakes cooling down the thick black ice i slam hard the door the dark beckons i light a sardonic candle and awaken 12/8/2018

Mighty fine seasonal mood poetry, Kim. Light that wistful candle now. lol! Very expressive imagery ... that polar ink is giving reading eyes the frostbite. Superb poetry! Love and joy always.

Oh a sardonic candle, up until that point I thought the poem was about winter, but maybe that part is a metaphor.... Nicely expressed Kim..

Kim, I like the way your begin with personification, immediately giving winter "life." Vivid imagery throughout and a very cool ending with the "sardonic candle" rousing you from sleep. A compelling dream, Kim. Nice work!
