Winter's Night Transparency -Crystalline Waka

breathe air breathless
mirror, I'm cold for you
our whisper crystallizes in
outside white; so my dark
warmed frosty wet

Love your juxtaposition of breathe and breathless & white and dark, among other things. Congrats, Paige!

Whoa ! Remarkable poetic power here. Masterful vignette on desire. It is seldom that one can articulate sensuality in an incisive way. This one achieves this. I salute !

Hey! Thanks! Without the extra to the title, I don't know if my readers will know what I am talking about, lol. I think Sotto is okay with it, he commented. Hugs :)

Very interesting imagery with the dark, wet warmth. The element of frost makes me think of black ice. But there is also poignant imagery of whiteness in this verse, depicted as a cold whisper. You seem to have given darkness a hug of light, making it warm despite cold surroundings.

Makes me think of the Snow Queen…those first two lines like a conversation between the animate and inanimate. The whisper disappearing…every word to leave one breathless…fave
