There's such a loneliness quality to this one, the deer is tucked in for the night, a lone wolf howls in the (hopefully!) distance, snow blankets the land. This little haiku paints quite a story. Well done, Susan, enjoy reading your haiku very much today! Hugs ~ John

Wow, what a picture in such few words - the image of both winter at night and the animals. Poor deer... I think this is what you'd call a perfect Haiku <#
