Winter Wear

Trees abandoned from their leaves
                              Wearing boughs of lichen sleeves
A blanket from the cold breeze
When the blustery north wind teases

Winter wear of the trees! Such a skillful imagery! but may i ask, for the accurate rhyming, shouldn't "teases" be "tease" with breeze? I don't think its grammatically incorrect or is it? Thanks - Marshall.

Winter tragedies are described in a magnificent rhyme, yet we must adapt to the conditions. One week is terrific, the next is dreadful.

The winter does offer us a time to pause~not to "smell the roses" but to reconnect and savor them. :)Paulette
