Winter Storm

Thinking back on yesterday
The cold cuts through my soul
I sit here before the fire
Trying to burn those memories
The icy storm hits so hard
Covering the traces of my path
A blizzard of memories
Begin to whirl all around me
Lost, alone, fire quenching
Everything I have become drifts away
As the winter storm consumes me
