Slipping through cracks in the clouds snowflakes confetti the sky like tufts of down tumbling down. Riding on a chilly breeze, twirling and swirling snowflakes begin carpeting the ground. Crowned the Queen of ice and snow, radiant in Her beauty; Winter silently arrived. Consumed by flames of color fueled by Autumn's pageant; not a single leaf survived. Winter wind freezes the air, until it is cold enough for you to see your own breath. Adapt at sculpting in white; Winter's sterile touch slows time and immortalizes death.

Beautiful, Emile. It paints a "winter wonderland" with such lovely words. And, congrats on your placement in the contest too.

Your sparse lines of perfectly selected words and images, fitting the chosen form, combine in a striking way to reflect the cold clear beauty of winter. I like this poem a lot. Well written, Emile

Queen of ice and snow reveling in Her beauty Winter has arrived. Wow! This part was good enough without any other parts.
