Notes About The Poem

Winter Season Musings Haiku Chain

rush hour five o'clock
hands clinging to a milestone
bus smash up victim

Observe the iced twigs.
trembling in cold winter wind
as they didn't have mitts

winter's crowning gloat
Chandeliers of ice crystals
Melt away slowly

the fireplace burns wood
There are seeds beneath the snow
tonight, dream of spring

The seeds dreaming of spring and most every person and animal are dreaming as well. I enjoyed reading these Haiku today. Your visit to my page was delightful. Sara

Thanks, dear friend Tom; indeed, we didn't make it through the winter with his frigid shivers and ice rain; I'm hoping for a quick transition to spring.

I am swept away again by your profound imagery, my favorite here is 'Chandeliers of ice crystals' - wintertime can be dangerous but also beautiful -
