winter roses- Mystic

there stays a lone rose
luminous red, amid frost~
a pleasing contrast.

petals lain with mist
blooming beauty, stay awhile~
a delight in gloom.

symbol of daring
amid hostile surroundings~
brave warrior, cheers!

Glad dear friend that you are back with comments. Usually if I get a comment from my fellow poets, I will definitely comment back though my hands are full most of the time with domestic responsibilities. If someone doesn't return comments more than two or three times, I too will stop commenting thinking they are displeased. I feel honored to get many comments at one go.
