Winter Roses
November's roses
linger through December . . .
fall's final gifts
the season's first snow
shows flakes pearlescent
drifting in moonglow
all through the night
with silence as its escort
falls the snow
a blessing bestowed
when light streams through my window . . .
dawn's tranquility
a cold day sun-graced
and on my bushes repose . . .
roses still snow-kissed
