Winter Roses

November's roses linger through December . . . fall's final gifts the season's first snow shows flakes pearlescent drifting in moonglow all through the night with silence as its escort falls the snow a blessing bestowed when light streams through my window . . . dawn's tranquility a cold day sun-graced and on my bushes repose . . . roses still snow-kissed

So beautiful, Andrea. Wonderfully written! Lovely phrases! Congratulations on your win. We don't get snow, but in the winter rainstorms I can see my rose garden from my kitchen window. Occasionally, even in winter, I get a rosebud. Warm blessings to you.

It shows that each word and verse has been carefully selected. I love the change of seasons expressed and feel life’s reflection in them.

That second verse is heavenly! You’ll do well! I edited mine but the remove option wasn’t there because she had read the poem already. All I can do is try. Lol

The final line of this lovely haiku, "roses still snow-kissed!," is stunning. Good luck!  My sincere thanks for the honor of first place in your last contest.
