Winter Olympics

Dancing, whizzing, whirling, Skaters swooping by; Starlets busy twiriling, Pointing to the sky. Judges tracing outlines, Fancy figure eights; Hopefuls' unread headlines, Sealed in starry fates. Breathless finish flowing From dazzling routine; Nervous, never knowing, Verdict yet unseen. Women's Figure Skating-- TV's stellar ore: Winter's Watchers Waiting Heroine's Encores. Gershon, I just read this in the PS Anthology and had to come over here to tell you how much I enjoyed reading it. My wife and I love both summer and winter Olympics (sadly missed in 2020), and the skaters are always a fave for us. Poetry in motion... I guess this is motion in poetry! Bravo, my friend. Keep skating away on the thin ice of a new day ~ Scott Hamilton the elder

Thank you, Line...Apropos of today's weather in Chicago, which was a wintry mix, including two inches of snow...Ha, ha: Thursday it's supposed to be 71 degrees Fahrenheit... Today I wanted to skate away from here... :) gw

Thank you, Eve. Hope you enjoyed the Olympics, as I did---but it's past time for the "Spring Olympics," don't you think?

Delightful, Gershon, it is one of my favorite Olympic events too. Not a difficult rhyme scheme to follow but a unique one that Joseph May assigned us. I compliment you on your excellent write and your placement in the contest.
