Winter Mouse
Winter came into my house,
Snuck under my door,
Begged me for a meal, like a hungry mouse.
It began to paint windows
With the strokes of snowy white,
And softly kissed the tip of me,
With cold, familiar bite.
I've been waiting for the longest
For this dream to come true -
And now it's finally here at last,
For me to share with you.
