Winter Magic

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, 'Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.'" - Lewis Carroll In winter’s cold blast Window’s form icy crystals Fairy dust falls as star flakes Lawns all white, glisten Moons’ silver bestows magic Snow veil warps you in slumber written: 9-1-2019 Writing Challenge 4, August 2019 - Six Lines Sponsor, Dear Heart- Wiishkobi Ode 2nd place

I like it for a few days as long as can play in it...snow angels and making snow mermaids are fun!

I love to watch snow falling Jeanne, but in South Africa in the Gauteng, a province of our country, it snows maybe once in every 4 or 5 years, cars even stop in the yellow lines on the highways, because it does not last long. About 2 years ago it snowed as we were returning home from a meeting, se we pulled off the highway, and made snow balls to throw at one another, two grown up people acting like children. I have faved this poem brilliant. Hugs Jennifer.

Jennifrer, thanks so much for sharing a bit of your childhood memories...it is still a fav thing to throw snowballs or make snow angels...though since moving to Mexico I don't spend my winters in snow anymore...but still love a few days of it when I get a chance.

Good Morning Anne-Lise...I have to agree with you...it's my least fav season unless I only have to spend 3-4 days playing in fresh snow with a hot tub close by to warm up in.

Thanks so much Ann. Snowfall was always a short lived pleasure in the NW...but I always think it is so lovely.
