Winter Love

winter days will soon confine us
cold wind will sting faces from car to house
journey home from work will be in darkness
gathering we will eat winter food and have
pots of tea
another winter home with you.

Living in North Dakota I can definitely relate to your words. We've had some nasty blizzards over the years. I see you have a wonderful solution. You have me smiling. Thank you for taking time to comment on my poem. I enjoyed your answers to my blog question too. Keep on writing. Karen

There's a sense of "coziness" in this sweet recollection of winter days. Being "confined" with those you love can actually be a lot of fun. Very nice, Veronica! Love, Carolyn

Nicely done. I can feel the call of winter gatherings to the warmth of home. Sara
