"To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake
it is necessary to stand out in the cold."
Aristotle
It began snowing and blowing during the night,
the snowflakes filigree at first;
then, faster in city and forest they dispersed,
in the morn' it was a lovely sight.
I travelled to a forest where wild horses roam,
walking for hours I found them;
three had gathered by a stream- each a nature gem,
safe in their serene forest home.
Suddenly, startled they were galloping away,
the white snow flying in the air;
I named them Grace, Beauty and Pride- beyond compare,
even the birds did not stay.
