Winter Clings
Isn’t it amazing all the snow winter can bring?
Just when it is time for the arrival of spring?
Cold air, bitter wind, and sad thoughts sting.
As white once again, covers everything.
Longing increases for the birds to sing.
Chirping melodies, as they flap their wings.
Into the skies, with new flights in upswing.
We stand with patience, as winter clings.
