WINTER SERIES ~~~~~~~~~~~ winter beauty belies danger... all take heed snow can kill moonlit snow... behold mountain hare's... shadows feeding ermine coated stoats winter ptarmigan... shadows that move up hills white fauna hiding snow buntings... confounders white through spring and summer times there is always one

absolutely beautiful haiku with wonderful imagery Mick and your poems made me smile as I was watching a tv prog recently and I saw ptarmigan for the first time -such strange birds indeed lol:-) hugs Jan x

Ah! With respect dear lady Jan, there is but one strange animal on planet earth, yep us humans. (A tiny bit tongue in cheek, for were not all tarred with the same brush). Sorry, but I am sure you are aware of my feelings re wildlife and nature.
