Now the trees have lain down their emerald gowns, and last night Jack Frost rattled my windows; oh, there was a mighty blizzard of falling snow, but in front of the fireplace I stayed cozy warm; that night winter arrived. And morning was full of sweet bird twittering, everything looked so beautiful and magical; the forest path was calling me to come, those places that once held leaves, held snow. Above the sky was azure blue, snowflakes were moving, billowing and drifting; I wrapped my cozy coat tighter, and soon, I came to a wonderland park of snow. ____________________________ August 26, 2012 Poetry/Verse/Winter Copyright Protected, ID 12-833-789-0 All Rights Reserved. Beautiful write..."the forest path was calling to me..." I like to ride a horse on the forest floor snow (as long as it's not too deep)...but I wish we could have all the beauty of winter, without all the brrrrrr!:)
