Winter
An Autumn breeze blows its final blows
the temperature drops, everything's froze.
Dark clouds loom soon a blizzard will come,
everyone rushes home with their faces all numb.
The people get ready for the first winter snows
and when Jack Frost comes to nip at their toes.
After a blizzard rages all through the night
The ground becomes a sea of brilliant white.
Thick ice is forming as far as the eye can see,
Couples are skating where a lake used to be.
Seeing winters beauty is a spectacular sight,
as the ice sparkles like crystals under moonlight.
Building Snowmen sledding and snowball fights
Hot chocolate marshmallows and cosy nights.
children catching snow flakes with their tongue,
excitement their feeling as Winter has begun.
