Winning the Soup
I recently won a contest
But I came in, number nine
I thought I poured my heart out
With words that were refined
An even mellow rhythm
With a clever twist of rhyme
But, I guest it wasn't good enough
At least not at this time
For now I'll strive and struggle
Between righteousness and sin
To proof read everything I wrote
Then re-write it once again
I'll ponder every sentence
From beginning to its end
Then perhaps, just perhaps
I could even, place at Ten
