Wink Wink
Wink wink it said
Across my chest
That tee of mine
I wore in jest.
To confuse the others
With who I am
A funny girl
Or with a smart plan.
Truthfully though
I wore it for me
Because with my eyes
I let others see!
I wink at the world
When they scowl back
I lighten the moment
When they want to attack.
A grain of salt
Goes a long way
When seriousness
Comes into play.
Turn all the frowns
Into a smile
“Hey I’m just kidding!”
I scream the meanwhile.
My humor some get
And some find it crass
Yet I am who I am
I push on the gas.
Don’t try and break
The light that I see
Or come in between
My true destiny.
