Windowpane

Sitting in my room
Against the windowpane.
I feel like a display
Because of this windowpane.
Cars go by
Birds fly on.
Nothing stays in place
Except for I.
People walk pass
I watch as they go
I can't help but feel so alone.
Nigh time comes
And the stars breach the sky.
I wish I were one of them
I wish I could fly.
But, trapped, here am I
Because of so many things
That's why I'm stuck behind
This horrid windowpane
