I’ve just made some bubble and squeak Fried leftover food, it’s unique I add cooked green sprouts In massive amounts No wonder I fart for a week! *Bubble and squeak is a traditional British dish (made with left over vegetables and meat from Christmas dinner which are fried together). Mine contained, roasted parsnips, cauliflower, broccoli, roast and boiled potatoes, sprouts and some chopped turkey. Every time you make it it's different. 12/26/20

And there’s me thinking that ladies only get windy-pops. Keep up with the culinary concoctions. I have to say I’m glad we’re on different islands. Phew! Terry. ;.)

Well, on could not say it was boring for sure. I do something similar with leftover mashed potatoes which I call potato croquets. All my family members love it. I add eggs and flour to get them to stick together to be fried. Enjoyed your work. Every time you visit my page I get a blessing. Sara

Hi Jan, I love this poem. My dad was from Yorkshire and at least once a week we used to have bubble and squeak - I loved it. Thanks this poem brought back wonderful memories! Hope you had a terrific Christmas Day, first Christmas ever we didn't go to Church, felt something was definitely missing from our Christmas Day, but we still had a great day in Ricky's Garden! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Sounds like the Isle of Man vaccine to me! I heard Gershon tried your recipe in Chicago, but added his fried dog, so everyone called it, "Bubble & Shriek" Aloha! Rico

Thanks Ilene, its really tasty with a bit of tomato ketchup! I don't like turkey but cooked a little bit with the beef yesterday and as all the beef was gone i chopped the remainder up and added it to the mix and it was really delicious. I cooked some extra veg (all the sprouts from yesterday were eaten) and added it to the mix. Its worht a try if you have lots of left overs :-) Hope you had a lovely day yesterday:-) hugs Jan xx
