Wind chimes, are you waking me from my hopelessness? Losing the will to survive, and in helplessness, wavering... Yes, I hear you as I flee from wretchedness' torments Toward the promises of God, with His love, grace and might! Wind chimes, are you rousing me against being drowned in misery? Fearing death, warring against sickness, sorrow and pain… Yes, I hear you as I cling to the Lord with faith for His rescue Upon His mercy, offering heaven and everlasting life’s gift! Wind chimes, are you warning me of my arrogance? Exalting myself, wasting my resources extravagantly… Yes, I hear you as I run from hell-bound foolishness Thru the wisdom of the Bible, anchored by Christ’s precepts! Wind chimes, are you shaking me out of my perverted perspective? Losing sight of divine values, weakening me down… Yes, I hear* you as I seek the Master with His perfect plan With the vision of His triumphant eternal kingdom!
