Notes About The Poem

Wind at the Bend

wind rises behind me, a gentle insistence against my spine~ not a command, but a direction. it threads through the grass, touches my shoulders, and nudges me toward whatever waits beyond the next bend. no map. no promise~ only the soft certainty that some paths are chosen by the wind itself.

Wind chooses the path of least resistance, as do most of us...

I like this verse, sara. It reminds me of trails I have taken in nature and within. Life doesn't have to be so rigidly planned. Call it fate or intuition. Once in a while, we let go and let them take the controls. and take a chance on the unknown.
