Wind and Water
Wind and Water
A hurricane’s a frightful force of wind,
attacking in its landfall with a fury
the mixing bowl of nature’s air and water.
Would the storm be such a storm without the water?
Swirling wildly in the havoc of the wind,
they are together in a marriage of such fury.
Intense defensive storms soon quell their fury.
When the roar subsides with gentle tidal water
and a natural sweet breeze is just plain wind.
A hurricane's fury is the work of wind and water.
