Willow

Oh willow tree you'll not fool me your happier than most I watch you sway with such delight you mere can keep from boast I see no weeping no woes worth keeping and yet in form you droop know this dear tree you'll not fool me as I rest upon your stoop I'll collect my nuts I'll carve my cuts Into your nimble limbs then you shall see Why willows weep as me and mine shall keep a home sweet home forever loaned Inside of you so deep

Thank you for sharing your poetry Melody. Poets here offer such diverse writings and to me it is a pleasure to read each and everyone. I will not be here at the Soup to read from Friday through Monday. I hope you will find mountains of inspiration during that time. I look forward to reading when I return. Have a great weekend. Love, Carol
