Will Turn You Back

Thought I would send you back and never look back Thought i would burn you out of the memories and scatter the ashes in the wind to fly Could do nothing and only the pain remained On those thin lips of your's there are so many promises But, I should turn you back again... And Let the forbidden love be kept enclosed... Hundreds of springs have passed away and I have kept my sleep away A happy person would never understand the pain of a "poet" Dreams give dawn to false hopes I have kept them enclosed, hidden deep within, I won't come out shining like a knight in a golden armour It would have been good if we could hold back time But the journey slowly comes to an end The sky is getting broken, dawn peeps through the night I am strong still May you also gain the strength Inside those brooding eyes so many stories lie But, I should still turn you back... let the flame flicker and die its only the roads that are barren for travellers to tread upon while the side walks have always been lined with trees
