WILDERNESS WOES

Alone
Hungry and Thirty
Loss
Surrounded by trees and swamp
One could be animal food
As darkness falls into the night
Bearings unknown
One can lose their mind
Trance of thought to nowhere
Movement pause
Frightened
Heart pounds
Environment nature sounds
Never ending
Wonder
How, When, and If
Unsearchable
Perhaps even untraceable
How long able?
Wilderness binge
Over and out

This is a cryptic poem with funny ending. It's a good idea to get out of the dangerous woods and flee to the safety of a nice big city. Thanks for sending me memories of my camping days.
