Wilderness In Between

Wine was spilled and dark red marks were left as
I let the glass slip through my fingers and while
Lips were red like petals caressing
I drew closer to hear his heartbeat

The feel of his tender touch teased as
His strong arms entwined me gently like
The tune of the night which was very light
Our hearts were racing but minds were at rest

We felt the whole wilderness of
Desires that were so longed for and
We had only dreamt of and hoped for
This untouched reality to become real

Clear as our eyes which now meet and
Through skin so hot I feel
The power dissolving our addiction of
Desperately seeking and longing

Tonight our dreams become a virtue like
Solid memories from a moment so true
Our secret is now revealed and
The wilderness is pure in between
